Singapore's Remote Control Kite

Remote control kite is the brainchild of Singaporean Michael Lim, who was inspired by his young daughter’s childlike request of “plucking the stars from the heavens” to add LED lights to his RC kite so they resemble stars in the night sky. That gave the kite its resemblance to fireflies and it was nicked “Firefly”.

42 kites are flown in today's Singapore national day parade at Marina Bay to mark the nation's 42nd birthday.

Happy birthday, Singapore! :)

err... dude.. where did u get this vid ? this is the team from www.acehobby.com.sg . not go fly kite or smth like that. this is the 05 ndp , not the 07 one man~ i was one of the flyers for 05 . u are giving the credit to the wrong ppl~! too bad my face aint on the vid lol.... =x but yea. the point is that this vid is for ACEHOBBY 2005 ndp, not GoFlyKite 2007 ndp.

err ... I thought the video is pretty cool, and the intention is to show the remote control kite. But, u are right, the video is from acehobby, I believe the video itself has the info.

I am not in any way related to Michael Lim or goflykite.

IT COST TOO MUCH!.  When you buy ready-to-fly it just take away all the fun of building from a kit, knock down kits or a variety of accessories, from plans and drawings.  

Just saw a knock down scale Zero Fighter ready-to-fly, brushless motor, ESC, 4 micro servos (except rx and tx) at Fook Hai Building Basement for S$99.00; you pay for this kite only S$399,  I could buy scale Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang and the Zero Fighter with that kind of money and have my uncle, son and daughter fly with me.
